South Dakota Minimum Hourly Wage Rises to $8.85 on January 1, 2018

Tipped Minimum Wage Rises to $4.425

South Dakota has announced that its state minimum wage will increase to $8.85 per hour (from $8.65 per hour), effective January 1, 2018.

Also effective January 1, 2018, the hourly minimum wage for tipped employees will be $4.425 per hour, half the minimum wage for non-tipped employees. Wages and tips combined must equal at least the state minimum wage.
