NM: Las Cruces Prevents Minimum Wage Increase from Taking Effect January 1, 2018

Minimum Wage Will Remain at $9.20 through 2018

The City of Las Cruces, New Mexico has amended its minimum wage ordinance to prevent an increase to the hourly rate from taking effect January 1, 2018. As a result, the minimum wage will remain at $9.20 per hour (and $3.68 per hour for tipped workers) through 2018.

The next increase will take effect January 1, 2019, when the rate will increase to $10.10 per hour (and $4.04 per hour for tipped workers).

Adjustments to the minimum wage based on inflation will begin January 1, 2020, and will be evaluated and assessed annually thereafter.
