Nevada recognizes same-sex relationships under state law as follows:
Same-Sex Marriage
Nevada prohibits same-sex marriage.
A legal union of two persons of the same sex that was validly formed in another jurisdiction and that is substantially equivalent to a domestic partnership as defined under Nevada state law is generally recognized as a valid domestic partnership in the state.

Domestic Partnerships
Nevada allows domestic partnerships for eligible couples, regardless of the gender of either party.
Domestic partners have the same rights, protections and benefits, and are subject to the same responsibilities, obligations and duties as are granted to and imposed upon spouses.
